Shall see their dead bodies

People from all nations, tribes, languages, and races will look at their bodies.

I hear it all of the time. People that claim to have read the Bible. This includes everyone from Preacher's to Atheist's. Some claim to believe while others scoff at the notion of a God that foretold the End from the Beginning. The title of this blog is taken from Revelation 11:9. A chapter that speaks of the 2 witnesses. It has always been my belief that there are those that have read the Bible and those that have studied it. There is a towering difference between these two groups of people. So lets take the aforementioned bible verse. Revelation 11:9 reads in its entirety: And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves. So my questions are these. Knowing that Gods word, written thousands of years before technology existed, how is it that all nations were to look upon the dead bodies of the 2 witnesses? Did they ALL travel to the city to see? So how is it that they all saw? Could it be that the God of all creation could in fact see the future? That he knew of the age of technology long before it ever existed? In the next verse we are told that; The inhabitants of the earth will gloat over them and will celebrate by sending each other gifts, because these two prophets had tormented those who live on the earth. So here again we read that we are not just talking about a few people, we are talking about "the inhabitants of the earth" I would translate that as EVERYONE. So how is that possible? I give you the city of social media. Nothing escapes the eye's of the nations. It is at the fingertips of most every man woman and child in the civilized world. I point out this obvious yet easily overlooked truth to prove a point. Government would have you believe that there is no God. Perhaps I would even go as far as to say that government believes that it is god. As they invade every facet of your world with the very technology described in Revelation 11:9, we can clearly see that the age of technology has brought about the death of the age of privacy. This brings up another very important point. A point that I believe correlates with the topic of this blog. In the book of Mark, chapter 13 verse 9 it reads: "But be on your guard; for they will deliver you to the courts, and you will be flogged in the synagogues, and you will stand before governors and kings for My sake. The age of social media and the naivety with which we treat it has lead to far too many people (myself included) putting it all out there. This is a dangerous and perhaps deadly level of apathy considering the political climate in which we now live. The ability, to within seconds be able to broadcast to the world all there is to know about all of us. Under the tyranny of a rogue government that renounces God, embraces all that is evil while at the same time is intent on criminalizing large segments of the population, knowledge in the hands of such an entity is terminal. For the sake of convenience we have given away our right to privacy. J. Edgar Hoover founded the F.B.I. in 1935. He was a genius when it came to the accumulation of information. Especially on those that he felt were potential enemies. He used this information against anyone that dared speak out against the crimes he was committing during his term as head of the F.B.I. Thus silencing all of his opposition. Upon his death was found one of the largest collections of pornography ever seized. Couple that with the fact that he was a cross dressing transvestite during a time when that particular lifestyle was desperately frowned upon. The fact that no one dare tell of his nefarious lifestyle implies the power of information. I tell you all of this to make clear a message. God is real. Social media is bad. What do these two things have in common? For non believers, nothing. For those that do believe, I will quote an old adage. If you were charged with being a Christian, would there be enough evidence to prove you guilty? I hope the answer to that is yes. But that being said, I would not invite my persecutors into my home. Everything you say WILL be used against you. They know who you are, they know what you think, they know everything there is to know about you including your friends and family. All of that information in the hands of those that seek nothing more than your enslavement and dependence upon THEM. And as Gods word tells us......your destruction.
